Margaret Smith Hale retired in 2007 from a long career as an executive in the Insurance Industry. She was the first woman to ever manage a branch office for the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies and opened their office in Boston in 1970. Under her leadership this branch maintained the best profit ratio of any branch office for three years running. In addition Ms. Smith Hale has held senior positions with Marsh & McLennan and Frank B. Hall in their Risk Management divisions with major responsibilities for the risk management program for the Gillette company, Textron and other multi-national clients.

Ms. Smith Hale has held many board positions for non-profit organizations including the Homeless Prevention Council in Orleans, MA, the American Heart Association of Cape Cod, the Lupus Erythematosis Foundation of Massachusetts and Parker Hill Hospital in Boston. She earned her B.S. in Business Administration at Boston University and holds an advanced degree in Risk Management. She became Executive Director for ITNNorthCentralCT in January 2008.
